The goal of data-centric security is to introduce a new layer of cyber-defence that acts on the data directly, ensuring that each data asset is self-described and self-protected. A single data governance policy acts on all data in a consistent and verifiable way. Cord3 Unity enforces DCS access control and protection practices using an on-the-wire approach, evaluating each data asset as it travels from the point of creation to the point of consumption. Any data object can be protected using Cord3 Unity as long as the data is exchanged over standard protocols. Each data object will include a label with security attributes.
Cord3’s approach to DCS is designed to be flexible and modular. It works equally well for highly structured data, unstructured data, or hybrid data types with both structured and unstructured elements.

Attribute-Based Access Control
Attribute-Based Access Control (ABAC) uses various security attributes to protect data objects from unauthorized access, sharing, or other operations.
Deployment Framework
Military engagements can align with both NATO (STANAG) and FVEY (ACP240) standards ensuring military specific secure classified communications (CJADC2).
Domain Separation
The Cord3 Unity Information Management (IM) domain is separated from your organization’s IT domain. IT administrators do not have access to protected data objects in the IM domain.
FVEY Compliance
Cord3’s DCS initiatives are integrated with the Five Eyes (FVEY) coalition and other international partners. Cord3 interoperates with Allied Communications Publication 240 (ACP 240).
KeyFrame Model
Cord3 DCS technology uses the Symmetric Key Infrastructure (SKI). KeyFrame is the name of the Cord3-provided SKI model.
NATO Compliance
The NATO Standardization Agreement (STANAG) was created to build a common framework for security policies and confidentiality metadata to facilitate information sharing between member nations and industry partners.
